Final draft Assign #3

Natalie

I think your cutter and call numbers are alright.

I changed my call numbers.

246 13 is variant title in serial.
I still think ISGS is a variant title of #2, not publisher.
130 0_ Newsletter (California State Veterinary Society)

Please look at my #4.

I changed it from my final draft
My supervisor checked it and suggested those entries.

246 1_ ‡i P (CAPS)

090 BX6201 ǂb .F57
110 2_First Baptist Church of Norfolk (Va.)
245 14 The first edition.
246 1_‡i Prominently displayed on issue: ‡a Intersections
260 Norfolk, VA : ‡b First Baptist.
300 v. ; ‡c 24 cm.

610 20 First Baptist Church of Norfolk (Va.) ‡v Directories,

Because this is about the church, so, the church gets the main entry.
The issues contain a lot of directory.

Thanks

Toshu

Assingment 3 Required another 500 fields, 300 fields & ISGS

Another 500 fields:

Dr Bob told me we should add the following 500 note for CONSER STANDARD

#1, #2 & #4
500 Latest issue consulted: Vol. 30 no. 1 (Jan/Feb, 2008) issue.

300 fields:

I’ve got the answer for 300 field from Dr. Bob.

Dr. Bob verified that we have to add 300 v. ‡c 28 cm. on #1 & #2

On #4, we have to measure it. I got 24 cm.
So, 300 v. ‡c 24 cm.

Dr Bob answer:

300 subfield a is not required.

For print volumes, use 300 v.

Refer to class meeting on 10/14

ISGS:
My question and Dr. Bob’s answer regarding ISGS

1) Assign 3 #2

246 13 ISGS
But, what does ISGS stand for?

Dr. Bob answer:
That is for the cataloger to figure out

Extra Credit-no

Sorry everyone. I don't think I'll be able to join the extra credit project. I just recently got promoted as the Electronic resource assistant within my department. I'm also starting an internship with LA County Public Library. On top of that, I'm taking vacation next week (whew...I really need that...) So I don't think I have enough time for this extra credit.

Hope you all have a great week. I'll try to stay in touch.

Assign #3 (#2 & #3)

My boss is a CONSER level serial instructor.

He shares with me the following points:

#2
He show me an CONSER training example that is exactly the same as #2.
I think Dr Bob changed the titlte, publisher, and auther information.
But, maybe, he didn't change ISGS whcih stands for Illinos Society of Geography....

#3
The fist edition is a common serial title.
He searched and found an article on the web.
The article proves that people in the chuch calls the publication "The first edition."
