Suggestions & Group Works

Hi,

1) All assignments /Group or Individual?
After looking at Dr. Bob’s reconstruction of the assignments, I am willing to work together with this group for all assignments. I think it is the best for each one of us to declare which assignment we prefer as a group project or as an individual project.
* Natalie, may we use this blog site even though you will do one of the assignments individually?

2) Assignment 2
Pamela, great work! It looks like a real book! Have you worked for a publisher?

My suggestions:
On the other information, shall we add information regarding the pagination, the spine title, index, bibliographical reference, or series title? Also, how about the edition information on the verso? (1st edition or 2nd edition?) We will able to describe this book on the bib record by cataloging it if there is additional information about this book. Please let me know.

Why don’t we fill out the template individually and put it together by next Friday? Therefore, we all can review Libr 248. After putting it together, I will check our work with my supervisor. Also, Amber could check it with her professor.
The cataloging is interesting. Each cataloger does different work. We can discuss this original record as catalogers. It’s exciting! As we work together, we will be able to make a better record.

3) Assignment 5
My suggestions:
We could do media items: DVD or VHS. I am currently working on Anime DVD. However, our department doesn’t have a manual. I am happy to help in any way that I can. It would be better for us to declare non-print material for the assignment 5 as soon as possible.
I will be able to arrange an interview with my supervisor in October. Should I arrange the interview around October 15 or 25? I will ask Dr.Bob how to set up to record the interview on Elluminate.
Please let me know.
