A4 - P1 - Discussion

For resource A - I think we are to catalog for the e-book that is showing instead of the online catalog. The title of the web site states: Sociology of Education: Emerging Persepectives, which is also the title of the book, instead of "net Library" which would be the catalog that the ebook is found through. That's why I was saying it is a monograph. Do we need clarification?

Resource D - is a little tricky. It reminds me of a database, but there isn't a search feature, so it isn't that. There are weekly updates, and it looks like they retain the old issues, so maybe this one is a serial. It does have discrete parts.

Resource E - I don't think is a serial. I was thinking this is an Integrating Resource that updates more like a loose-leaf - with the updates not on a regular basis, but now that I look at it some more I think it is a monograph, like resource A. There are a table of contents listed, the two versions could be considered two different editions. They are both available, just as you would have both editions of a printed book. One reason why I don't think it is a serial is there is no indication of regular updates planned.
This web site is extremely similar to the slide: http://www.dublincore.org/documents/dc-html/
does it help to see this? I'm starting to think that what this is a a work-in-progress that is listed as the "current version" but there are moments when it becomes fixed or "published" and that's why there are the two earlier versions listed. But the updating is ongoing, and integrated into the documents as they go along. So it wouldn't be a monograph or serial but just Integrating Resource (really does remind me of a loose-leaf printed copy but online and changing more frequently).
